Long-Term Care (LTC) Insurance

for You and Your Family

As a Montgomery County Government employee, you have access to a long-term care offering, distributed by ACSIA Partners LLC. The LTC benefit addresses uninsured long-term care costs, which are one of the greatest risks to retirement savings and income today. ACSIA Partners has developed a comprehensive program to provide you with all the information you need to determine if a long-term care solution is appropriate for you and your family.

If you are a newly hired employee, you are eligible for reduced health screening if you are 18-65, actively working at least 20 hours per week, and apply within 90 days of your date of hire. New hires that do not apply within their 90-day eligibility period may apply at any time and receive gender-neutral rates (see below); however, applications will be fully underwritten.

Note: The LTC policy employees and retirees purchase will be underwritten by LifeSecure. LifeSecure is responsible for policy issuance and payment of claims. ACSIA Partners' role is to provide education about long-term care planning and assistance with the enrollment.

Why Take Advantage of This Opportunity?

This program provides significant benefits to you as a Montgomery County Government employee. It is available to you, your spouse/domestic partner, and extended family members ages 18-79. Extended family members include parents, parents-in-law, grandparents, grandparents-in-law, siblings (including step), cousins, and adult children.

  • Comprehensive, individually owned plans

  • LifeSecure gender-neutral rates: Premiums are the same for men and women of the same age, which is not always the case with other individual long-term care insurance policies. Women are often charged higher premiums than men of the same age for the same policy. **

  • Affordable plans conveniently paid post-tax directly to the insurance carrier
